Digital Publishing, Bilingual Learning Magazine

I grew up speaking three languages: English, Russian, and Ukrainian. While my parents had the advantage of understanding each other's languages, many bilingual families have one bilingual parent and one monolingual parent. The bilingual parent then becomes the sole person responsible for teaching their language to the child. Therefore, to support parents who were struggling to pass on their languages to their children, I created a Russian and Ukrainian magazine for their children. The magazine targets both the child with engaging activities and stories and the parents by giving them tips to support their child's language development.

I used generative AI to create the images, Adobe InDesign to format the story and cover page, and Canva Design to create the academic activities and assemble the magazine.
